Ashtyn

Well....the trouble continues with my little Ashtyn and her sleeping situation.  Carl and I decided (well I made him do it) to take turns every night to put her asleep.  Every night when it is Carl's turn...she cries for me.  She calls my name (while she is crying hysterically).  She tells Carl she wants me and she doesn't give up.  It breaks my heart.  I have been thinking a lot lately about my kids and how fast they are growing.  Like any other mother...I get so weepy thinking about them.  I have came to the conclusion, I am going to suck it up and put Ashtyn to bed every night.  It might take me 30 min or so, but I should really cherish every second I have with them.  Soon she won't be asking me to stay with her she will be kicking me out!  So for now, I will sit by her side and just rub her back and think about how much I love her and how she has done nothing but make my life better than it already was!

Ellie is 5

Ellie is now 5 years old!  It seems like just yesterday I found out I was pregnant....then having a baby!
Facts about Ellie
Ellie is in Preschool.  She has made leaps and bounds in schools (especially socially).  She takes piano lessons and did a little gymnastics.  She wants mommy to sign her up for dance lessons.  She loves stuffed animals and is very smart .  She can count over 100, knows her letters and sounds.  She loves her baby sister and does what she can to be a role model for her sis.  She loves to eat chicken nuggets, pizza, spaghetti, and of course anything that is sweet!  We love you Ellie Grace and I can't imagine taking you to your first class of Kindergarten let alone watching you graduate high school. You are one very special girl!

Sisterly Love
I told Ellie that I would take her out for her birthday to get her nails done.  I took her to a nail shop down the street from the house.  I was going to take her by herself to have a "special" day, but she thought it would be fun to take her sister.  What can I say...I love my girls.  They got their nails done while I took the pictures.  Ellie was talking to the lady like she was her best friend.  It was so funny....she is usually my shy one.  Ashtyn was quiet the whole time.  She sat there quietly and patiently.  It was so much fun.  I am so glad my little girls love doing things with each other and their mommy. I am so blessed to have them in my life.........my life with girls is complete (who knows maybe we can squeeze another little one in there ; )!

Christmas

This year was a very busy year for us and to add to it...Christmas!  We had to shop, shop, shop, wrap presents, get Xmas decorations up, have a Christmas Eve party, and Christmas day party here!  On top of that...the house had to be ready for Santa!!  All I can say is I am trying to recover now!  Well the kids had a super holiday and as you will see in the pictures, Santa must have thought so too!  He brought plenty of gifts to fill the basement!  We did a lot of entertaining and traveling, but we had so much fun doing it!  Here's to Christmas 2010 and everything that it means!  We are a very blessed family!

Randoms for 2010

Remembering 2010

When I look back on 2010, I think of how much my little girls have grown.

Ellie-
Ellie went to 4 year old preschool. Her teacher is Mrs. Litkenhouse. She has a lot of friends and loves going to school. She loves to do anything that has to deal with learning. She can count over 100 and knows all her colors, letters, sounds, and even how to sound out words. She is such a laid back little girl. She is so sweet and loves her family. She is a good big sister. She loves to just sit at home and watch movies and this year she is into Barbies, babies, and coloring. She started piano lessons and loves it! Her teacher said she is very smart and is catching on quickly. She loves all of her stuffed animals and probably sleeps with 20 of them at night. She is so excited about the new house and I can't believe she will be going into Kindergarten in 2011. My baby will be 5!

Ashtyn-
Ashtyn is our little spit fire.  She is very active and has her own personality.  She is starting to like watching movies, play with dolls, barbies, and anything she can do outside.  She loves her mommy and wants to do everything with her.  She loves her sister so much! She wants to be just like her.  She copies everything she does and doesn't want to share her with anyone else.  She even cries if her sister is playing with someone else.  She loves dipping her food especially in ranch.  She loves chewing gum (even though we fight her with it every time.)  She has been sleeping in her bed, but we still have a hard time getting her to fall asleep. Ashtyn can count to 20 (not correct every time), knows her colors, and can spell part of her name.  Ashtyn will start preschool in 2011.  She will be 3!

New Year 2011

Best Friends!

Mitch looks Happy!

This year Carl and I decided to have a New Years Eve party with kids.  The kids celebrated with us last year and it was a lot of fun!  This year we decided to have the kids there again and invite all of our Awesome friends!  We had a great time.  The kids came over and played, played, played!  The mothers sat around and talked and the dads watched TV and played some cards.  At about 11 we put a movie in to get everyone calmed down.  Everyone enjoyed watching Beauty and the Beast (especially the dads ;)  We then had a little parade and got ready for the ball to drop.  Carl bought confetti for the kids and let me tell you...they loved it!  It was a great night for all!

Ugly Sweater Party

Brit and Bill had an Ugly sweater party and we took the girls.  Of course....they loved it.  It was a great time and I loved hanging with great friends.  The only picture I took was of Kaidyn and Ellie and I must say it is super precious!  Thanks guys for hosting another great party!  Can't wait until you are in your new home!

Christmas Trees

We moved into our house 2 weeks before Christmas.  Lets just say it has been nothing but CRAZY around here.  I didn't want to put anything Christmas up until everything was unpacked.  Well.....I don't know what I was thinking because it was taking forever to unpack, get Christmas gifts, wrap them, etc.  The custodian I work with, Phyllis, got on me and told me to stop what I was doing and the get the trees up for my babies.  She said the would only be young once.  She was right.  I went home and put the tree up the next day.  I also put a tree up in the girls room this year.  They loved it.  Each tree matched the color of their room.  They even put up our bear tree in the kitchen.  They love the holidays and it is such a joy watching my little ones grow up.

Dress Up

Ashtyn was downstairs looking at her toys and found this outfit.  It was Ellie's Halloween costume when she was two.  Ashtyn is much bigger than Ellie was at 2 so this was a hard to put on her and take off.  She loved it though!

New House

We are finally in our new house and loving it!  It has so much room and even more room to grow.  It has been a crazy three weeks and I haven't been able to blog about it at all.  The girls love it so much.  They don't even want to leave.  All they want to do is play with all the things they have been without!  We have had so much going on that I have been busy all of break!  We are finally unpacked (except 1 storage space).  We need to get so many things for the house and it is going to be hard trying to refrain and not just go out and get everything!
